In his speech, Li Xiaolin said that the World Philanthropy Forum is an open platform for participation, dedication and sharing in the field of philanthropy and social services. It originated in China and serves the world. “We welcome the active participation and collaborative cooperation of people of insight around the world, and let us work together for the great goal of building a community with a shared future for mankind.”
“It is hoped that the forum will further promote the sharing of experience, academic exchanges, policy advocacy and practical promotion of philanthropy around the world, actively implement the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.” Chen Xu, director of the Tsinghua University Council, said in his speech.
It is understood that this forum closely focuses on the theme of “cooperation and cooperation”, and explores the mechanisms and measures to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), support the “Belt and Road” international initiative, and support the promotion of the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. Focusing on the four topics of anti-poverty, social impact investment, environmental protection and youth development, and giving full play to the disciplines, professions, advantages and strengths of social work, experts and scholars, overseas Chinese, Chinese and foreign enterprises, foundations and international organizations, seven high-end dialogues will be held. , 4 roundtable dialogues and 4 parallel forums.
At the opening ceremony, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and World Vision signed the “Memorandum of Understanding on the Strategic Cooperation of the United Nations “Every Woman Every Child”. In the next three years, World Vision will invest about 1 billion US dollars in countries along the Belt and Road. Work together to unite forces from all walks of life to carry out livelihood projects and social services.
This forum has established a high-end consultant and partnership mechanism. Julia Erin Gillard, President of the Global Education Cooperation Organization and former Prime Minister of Australia, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, President of Save the Children and former Prime Minister of Denmark, and the Development of the State Council of China Li Wei, director of the research center, Li Jiajie, a well-known entrepreneur and philanthropist, and vice chairman of Henderson Land Group, served as the first batch of consultants for the forum.
